The Lunar Circus Show is uniquely Australian in its diversity, sense of humour and physical storytelling.
It has been thrilling audiences of all ages for the past eight years. The Lunar Circus is committed to taking
quality circus to regional areas giving people access to entertainment that is usually only enjoyed by the major cities.
Within Australia, the show has travelled as far north as Darwin and visited many outback areas such as Katherine,
Arnhemland, the Kimberley region, the Central Desert and Kalgoorlie. They have toured extensively in the South West
region of the state and have performed numerous times in the Perth metropolitan area.
The Lunar Circus is proud of it’s youth workshop programme which they consider an important part of the company and
a valuable way to contribute to the well being of kids (and adults) in communities they visit.
In July, 2003 Lunar broadened its horizons to the international arena. Setting off from Fremantle, W.A, they shipped
their vehicles to Singapore for the Overland tour of Asia. From there, they travelled extensively for one year
performing their show and conducting youth projects throughout Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Cambodia.
During this period, they brought the joys of circus to some of the most underprivileged areas in the region. Their
extensive work with street kids from these areas was one of the highlights of their tour and produced some exceedingly
positive and rewarding outcomes.
Their skilled and experienced performers have gained invaluable knowledge working with overseas festivals and other
circus companies such as the Flying Fruit Fly Circus, Acrobat and Circus Oz. In short their show is all about wowing
the audience with the magic and inspiring skills of circus that has delighted generations from all over the world.
They are committed to sharing this magic with as many people as they can.
